The project

"Vagabondaggi in Terre di Toscana" (Wandering through Tuscany) intends promoting the mount Amiata territory through the development of a quality tourism offer mainly aimed at young school-going persons and to all those (teachers, escorts, family members) that intend linking the pleasure of physical activities (hiking or mountain biking) with the mountain's natural beauty. An "adventurous" vision of the visit for an experience of tourism in close contact with nature. The "adventure paths", created in collaboration with the local amateur cycling associations and hiking and orienteering enthusiasts, are designed to be travelled both on foot and by mountain bike. The latter modality is supported by the relevant equipment and gear provided (mountain bike, helmets, handheld computers and GPS navigators mounted on the bikes), which the Tuscany Lands Consortium makes available both directly at the head office, as well as through the "remote" organisation of groups and parties. All three courses, identified by different colours and names, are in any case marked with signalling/informative elements both at starting and ending points and along the entire course.
